WatchPAT ONE Sleep Test Device image

The WatchPAT™ One E is an FDA-approved home sleep testing device that uses two points of contact, one worn on the wrist and one worn on the finger. The corresponding app (available on iOS or Android) collects seven data points over the course of the night. Data is ready the next morning and reviewed by our sleep practitioners.
WatchPAT ONE E is:

  • FDA-approved
  • DOT-approved
  • Disposable after one night’s use, decreasing contamination.

Step 1: Purchase our Complete Care package and schedule a 10-minute telehealth visit with a healthcare provider to discuss your symptoms, upcoming sleep study, test results, and treatment options.

Step 2: The WatchPat One E, our disposable home sleep apnea test, is mailed to your home for you to complete at your convenience.

Step 3: A sleep practitioner analyzes the sleep data and will provides a prescription if warranted.

Need additional support or services? The process doesn’t have to end there. You can schedule a follow-up appointment (additional fee applies). We can also connect you to sleep experts who can offer customized sleep therapy options, assistance in equipment purchase, and initial set-up.

Sleep Care online is not a healthcare provider. We arrange for healthcare providers to assess this technology platform to provide clinical services.

  • Comprehensive testing for Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Individual one-on-one consultations with sleep practitioners
  • Comfortable, easy-to-use testing device you can use in your own bed
  • Accurate and Reliable results reviewed by healthcare experts
  • Trusted board-certified medical professionals oversee the process
  • Cost-Effective option to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea
  • Fast—testing to Rx in under one week

This package is designed for people ages 18 and older who are experiencing sleep difficulties and are at risk of moderate to severe sleep apnea.

In particular, anyone who has any of these symptoms may need to be tested for undiagnosed obstructive sleep apnea:

  • Snorts, snores, moans, gasps, or pauses breathing while sleeping
  • Experiencing chronic fatigue, headaches, or daytime drowsiness
  • Morning sore throat or dry mouth
  • Frequent awakening to urinate or restless sleep
  • Memory impairment, depression, or anxiety
  • Erectile dysfunction

Home sleep testing may be a good option for older patients with chronic conditions who are home-bound and require special care.

We do not recommend an in-home sleep test to patients with the following medical conditions: those with significant cardiorespiratory disease, potential respiratory muscle weakness due to neuromuscular condition, awake hypoventilation or suspicion of sleep-related hypoventilation, chronic opioid medication use, or a history of stroke or severe insomnia.

Home Sleep Test FAQ

General

Sleep Care online uses WatchPAT ONE E, the latest in cutting-edge technology. This reliable and accurate sleep testing device has two points of contact and is simple to use. Download the corresponding app to watch a step-by-step video on how to set up and record your data while wearing the device. When ready to sleep, simply do the following:

  1. Strap on the WatchPAT ONE E home sleep apnea test bracelet to your non-dominate hand.
  2. Place the probe on your finger.
  3. Turn on the recording.

The WatchPat One E collects information on six different factors: peripheral arterial tone (PAT signal), heart rate, oximetry (blood oxygen level), actigraphy (gross motor activity), body position, and snoring. All collected data is transmitted via the cloud and study results are available the following morning.

The device also connects to a smartphone app (available for iOS or Android) and integrated cloud-based analysis software for analysis. Please note, this product does not include the chest sensor.

Each device is disposable after one night’s use. This disposable feature greatly reduces the possibility of contamination.

WatchPAT ONE E is FDA-cleared and has been clinically validated in multiple trials.

Sleep Care online’s Complete Care service is for people ages 18 and older experiencing sleep difficulties and at risk of moderate to severe sleep apnea. Risk factors include loud snoring, daytime sleepiness, obesity, and breathing cessation during sleep.

Equipment

Prescription and PAP Equipment

Yes, a prescription is required for a home sleep apnea test (HSAT) from a doctor who has a license in the state in which you reside. During your initial 10-minute telehealth appointment, our healthcare provider will discuss symptoms and determine if you are a candidate for a sleep study. When they sign off on your sleep study, we will mail you the WatchPat One E and you can begin your sleep test.

Telehealth

Fifteen minutes before your appointment, you will receive a text message with a link to a Zoom meeting. At the time of your appointment, click the link and you will be in a waiting room. Once the healthcare practitioner is available, you will be accepted into the virtual exam room. Your appointment will cover symptoms, what to expect with testing, what the results could mean, and the next steps after a diagnosis.
